2007, The Police thrilled millions of fans around the globe.
Their much heralded tour, which has sold over 2.5 million
tickets, garnered numerous accolades including: Major Tour
of The Year (Pollstar), as well as “Tour of the Year”
and “Top Selling Tour of 2007” (Billboard Magazine)
The Police will return to North America this summer to play
their final area appearances in a number of arenas and amphitheaters
predominantly in markets where they did not perform in 2007.
An additional 30 dates have been confirmed beginning
May 1st in Ottawa and culminating August 4th at Wantagh, NY’s
Jones Beach. Along the way, the tour will also visit
The Gorge in Seattle, Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, the
Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl and Orlando’s Amway
Arena.

MAKING THE BAND 4 – THE TOUR
After
record breaking back-to-back #1 album debuts by Danity Kane
and Day26, P. Diddy decided it was time to put the hardest
working bands in show business on a national tour. In addition,
P. Diddy revealed that MTV cameras will document the tour
for the new season of the hit reality series “Making the Band”
airing late summer. The official tour dates for the “P. Diddy
and MTV Presents Making The Band 4 – The Tour” were announced
today on TRL. The cross-country, multi-artist bill will feature
the hit reality series’ two #1-selling superstar groups, Danity
Kane and Day26, as well as fellow MTB4 star, Donnie Klang.
Joining the tour as special guest will be Bad Boy recording
artist Cheri Dennis.

Walt Disney World Resort will serve as a presenting sponsor of the MEAC-SWAC Challenge, an ESPN Regional Television (ERT) owned-and-operated event, featuring teams from two prominent HBCU (Historically Black College/University) leagues -- Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). This year, the event moves to Orlando and will showcase a college football match-up between the MEAC’s Hampton University and the SWAC’s Jackson State University on Labor Day Weekend, Sunday, Aug. 31, live at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN2, from the Florida Citrus Bowl.
